# Liebherr integrated panel and column refit

### Why this line needs it more than most

Fifteen of the appliances in the current US catalog — ten refrigerators and all five freezers — are fully integrated. On other makes taking a cabinet out is an unusual step; here it is a normal part of a proportion of the work, and pricing it honestly is better than absorbing it invisibly.

What this involves

Planned before the visit, not discovered during it

Level, plumb and aligned to the run

Panel, plinth and toe-kick refitted properly

Establish how it was fitted before it comes out

Fixings, panel mounting, plinth and whether there is a water line. A column that is plumbed comes out differently from one that is not.

Protect the joinery

The cabinetry is usually worth more than the repair. Two people on anything that carries a custom front.

Do the work with the appliance accessible

Which is the entire point of taking it out, and the reason the access is planned rather than improvised.

Refit and align to the neighbors

Level, plumb, gaps matched, door tested against the seal, plinth and toe-kick back as they were.

### Do you need to take it out for every repair?

No — most repairs are done in place. This is priced separately because when it is needed it is real work, and quoting a repair without it and then discovering it halfway through would be the wrong way round.

### Will the cabinetry be damaged?

Not if it is planned. The risk on these is not the appliance, it is a custom front and a stone worktop within a few centimeters of it, which is why this is a two-person job on anything panelled.
